The MDBA currently has over 160 members in 17 states representing the diverse Dexter breed. Whether you are interested in a black, red or dun Dexter, we have a breeder that can help you. Horned or polled... we have a breeder. Milking, beef or draft... we have a breeder. Because our membership includes breeders across the nation, you can easily connect with someone near you that would be happy to answer any questions you may have about our diverse breed.

Excellent Beef
Dexter cattle have long been marketed as both tasty and efficient producers of beef. As the Dexter breed grows in popularity, the MDBA as well as producers across the country, and world, are gathering data to back these claims. The Dexter Beef page of this website is an effort to compile all the available data into one spot so breeders have both easy access to this information and a place to direct prospective customer.

2023 Check-off feesA reminder to pay your 2023 check-off fees. This voluntary payment of $5 per registered Dexter sold each year goes towards marketing of Dexters at trade shows, expos and shows. Payments can be made online in our store.
