MDBA Youth Program

The purpose of this two year program is to aid youth in getting started in the Dexter Cattle business by awarding heifer calves to program participants on the basis of merit, future goals and the ability to care for the animal.  Any Missouri youth, ages 8 – 15 as of January 1, 2018, who is a 4-H or FFA member, or becoming high school freshmen who will be joining FFA, with a letter from your FFA advisor, may apply.  Homeschooled youth, ages 8 – 15 as of January 1, 2018, are also eligible by meeting the additional criteria outlined within the application.   The application will be posted when heifers become available.

In 2017, the MDBA Youth Program awarded five ADCA Registered Dexter heifers to youth applicants.
